INTELLIGENT PEOPLE - BETTER WORLD

LITTLE GENIUS (CHILDREN 4-6 YEARS)

This course is designed for preschool children (4-6 years old). Its goal is to:

  • - develop attention, memory, observation, imagination and reaction speed;
  • - introduce the basics of mental arithmetic and teach simple operations, such as addition and subtraction, using the abacus to increase mental speed.

The course, with the help of the mascot Mr. Brain, enables children to familiarize themselves in a simple and intuitive way with the abacus, with its rules of movement and mental calculation.

MENTAL MATHEMATICS and LOGIC (CHILDREN 7-16 YEARS)

This course aims to improve cerebral efficiency for the development of children from 7 years of age. Thanks to new methods of memory training, development and retention of concentration, increasing the ability to analyze, process and assimilate information in a short time, it is now possible to improve school performance.

The method proves to be particularly important in the light of results obtained in relation to children with learning and neurodevelopmental disorders, or simply for those who do not particularly like mathematics.

The main contents of the course include:

  • - LOGIC - is aimed at the development of logical thinking in children, learning to analyze, reflect, compare and perform simple logical actions independently. Gradually the games of logic will shape the child's ability to reason and make independent decisions. Training imaginative and logical thinking increases the speed of intellectual processes.
  • - KINESIOLOGICAL GYMNASTICS - gymnastics for the mind, includes a series of exercises aimed at development of subcortical structures and interhemispheric connections. Kinesiology (from the Greek "kinesis" - movement and "logos" - knowledge) is an applied science that helps develop mental abilities through the fulfillment of a certain type of activity.
  • - MNEMONICS (from the Greek. Mnemonikon - the art of memorization), means a combination of methods that facilitate memorization and increase the amount memorised by using association training.
  • - EIDETICA (from the Greek "eidos" - image) is a methodology for the development of imaginative thought, which allows one to grasp large amounts of information with effective memorization.
  • - MENTAL MATHEMATICS - consists in developing the ability to do calculations mentally. The course techniques make use of one of the most popular and simple methods to train mental skills and creativity in the child: the use of the Japanese abacus. During the course particular attention is paid to the harmonic development of the brain by involving both hemispheres.

In the exercises on the course, special attention is paid to the harmonic development of the brain involving the two hemispheres. Students first perform activities with the abacus, then move on to mental calculations. Over the course of the lessons, the use of the abacus is gradually reduced and the imagination is stimulated (by mentally making movements with the beads) so that eventually, students will be able not only to solve difficult calculations quickly in their heads, but also to memorize, process and assimilate complex information quickly, while remaining attentive and focused.
